Ronald Reagan
Ronald Wilson Reagan, born Feb. 6, 1911, in Tampico, Ill., U.S. became 40th
president of the United States 1981 – 89. His conservative Republicanism,
fervent anticommunism, Hollywood style, and folksy wit were his trademarks.
The only actor to become president, was called “The Great Communicator” by
his followers. June 5, 2004, Nancy Reagan issued the following statement:
"My family and I would like the world to know that President Ronald Reagan
has passed away after ten years of Alzheimer's, at 93 years of age. We
appreciate everyone's prayers over the years."
